HENRY SAMUELS
Henry Samuels has a wide-ranging practice and represents clients in a variety of litigation matters before Federal and State Courts as well as administrative agencies. With over 30 years of experience, Henry has achieved tremendous results both at trial and through settlement. Henry's criminal practice includes representation of clients charged with Felonies, DUI's, Misdemeanors, Traffic and Ordinance Violations. His areas of concentration include but are not limited to representing individuals in driver’s license suspensions and revocations, civil litigation matters, residential and commercial real estate transactions, and small businesses in transactional and litigation matters. Henry is an experienced trial attorney with a broad base of experience in all aspects of criminal defense. Henry is well versed in all aspects of the criminal process often achieving successful negotiations with the opposition when a case is not recommended for trial. Henry will work extremely hard to achieve the best outcome possible. Henry is a graduate of University of Illinois at Chicago (B.A. 1980) and graduated from the Chicago Kent College of Law (J. D. 1983) with High Honors. He is admitted and qualified to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois

CALVIN BERNSTEIN
Cal Bernstein has an accomplished and broad real estate and governmental law practice representing developers, landowners and homeowners in all phases of real estate finance, acquisition, development, zoning and land use matters. Cal regularly vigorously advocates before city councils, village boards, zoning boards of appeals, plan and design, historical preservation, and housing commissions with a high degree of success. He routinely works with City and Village staffs and advises clients regarding development and construction agreements and affordable housing requirements. Cal also plays an active role in the planning and approval process for Planned Unit Developments, successfully obtaining zoning variances and other land use requests.
Cal frequently represents Buyers and Sellers in commercial and residential real estate transactions where he negotiates and drafts documents relating to these transactions including real estate sales contracts, closing documents, section 1031 or “starker” exchanges, environmental indemnities, joint venture and partnership agreements, financing instruments, construction agreements and condominium conversions agreements. Cal has been involved in the growth of several retail chains and has vast experience in office, industrial and retail leasing.
Cal’s expertise extends to forming entities such as C-Corporations, S-Corporations, joint ventures, partnerships, and limited liability companies and negotiating and preparing related corporate documents including minutes, operating agreements, and shareholder agreements.
Cal is a Commissioner on the Park District of Highland Park Board having been elected in 2007, and re-elected in 2013 and 2019 and chairs the Board’s Finance Committee, and the Athletic, Baseball, and Sunset Valley Golf Club advisory committees. In addition, Cal is a charter member of the Highland Park Community Emergency Response Team. Cal formerly served as a member of the City of Highland Park Zoning Board of Appeals.
Cal received his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and his Juris Doctorate from the George Washington University School of Law.
